3-wrap rods are in the middle when it comes to strength and weight. They are similar in stiffness to the 2-wrap and 4-wrap rods. These rods should be used in moderate winds.

3-wrap rods are identified by their label with either 3 feathers or the words “Ultra Light” with an internal diameter of 1/4 inch.

This part can be used either:
- as leading edge outer part
- as vertical rod
